I'm managing sommelier for an Italian restaurant in Oslo called Trattoria Popolare with a wine-list of just over a thousand titles. I also write for online publication DinVinguide.se as well as taste wines for the Norwegian magazine Aperitif and other publications. My route into this profession has been long and winding, mostly based on chance and opportunity rather than actual goals and decisions. Like many, I started working as a waiter part-time to pay for my university studies, but got sucked into the extreme yet dynamic adrenaline rush that is the restaurant business. After working in southern Sweden as well as different restaurants in Denmark I graduated as a sommelier in 2010, and I've made it a personal goal since to travel as much as I possibly can and taste as many wines as time and wallet will allow."
